Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ encapsulates the journey of this team that taught a nation to believe and to pin its hopes on its cricket players’ by returning home as a set of uniquely gifted world champions. 83 relives the journey of a team and its maverick captain to the generations who would have otherwise missed it in the mayhem of live-action we are bombarded with. It shows us where we have come from. And for that, Kabir Khan and his crew deserve a massive round of applause.

2. Bell-Bottom

In the espionage thriller Bell Bottom, Akshay Kumar plays a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) undercover agent who goes by the code name 'Bell Bottom'. After a plane is hijacked and lands in Amritsar, the seventh hijacking incident in five years, Kumar is brought in to save the day. The fact that his operation is connected to personal tragedy makes it more impactful. Like several other Akshay Kumar films that are inspired by real incidents, this Ranjit Tiwari directorial is based on the two events that happened in the late 70s and early 80s during Indira Gandhi’s time as the Prime Minister of India. It's commendable that the movie was shot during the pandemic across various locations in India and Scotland.

The myth of Hastar is when the Goddess of Prosperity created the world she gave birth to Hastar followed by 16 Crore Gods and Goddesses. Hastar being her firstborn was her favourite child, but Hastar was very greedy. When the Goddess of Prosperity offered Hastar the ownership of all the gold in the universe or all the food, he took the gold as well as tried to take over the food in his greed fighting with his brothers and sisters. The 16 crore gods and goddesses overpowered Hastar and when they tried to kill him, the Goddess of Prosperity intervened and begged for his life. The 16 crore gods and goddesses accepted her request on one condition, that Hastar will never be mentioned in the Puranas nor he should be ever worshipped. Next-Day upon reaching his house a shocking surprise is waiting for Akash. I have to say that "Andhadhun" was a good surprise for me because I didn't have high expectations from it and it was simply amazing. I enjoyed watching it because it has much of suspense and it was very interesting. The interpretations of Ayushmann Khurrana who played Akash was simply excellent and Tabu who played Simi was equally good.
